THERE IS A $50 RETAINER REQUIRED TO BOOK. THIS DOES GO TOWARD YOUR TOTAL. THE REMAINING AMOUNT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF THE SESSION. FOR PORTRAIT PLANS, A PAYMENT OF $200 IS DUE AT EACH SESSION.

BOOK EARLY!

It's best to reserve your spot on my calendar at least a couple months prior to your due date. Newborns are best photographed within 7-21 days after birth, and I normally do not have any last minute availability if you wait until after the baby is born to contact me about a session. Your due date is used to reserve your spot on my calendar until baby arrives.

Mornings are magic

Newborn sessions are scheduled for mornings on Monday-Friday only. I do not do newborn sessions in the afternoon or evening because babies tend to become more easily agitated and fussy later in the day (and also because I have to pick up my own kiddos from school). Due to the extra time that newborns require and scheduling conflicts with other sessions, I am not able to do newborn sessions on weekends.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

safety first

Keeping baby safe and comfy is my #1 priority. Some of the images you see me create (such as babies posed on guitars or with deer mounts) are what we call composite images. This means that in order to create the pose safely, multiple images are blended together in editing.

the studio gets cozy

Newborns love being cozy and warm. You might say it's part of the baby whispering "secret". That's why my studio is kept around 75-80 degrees during newborn sessions. It may get a little toasty for us adults, but the littles love it!

I've got you covered

Don't worry about bringing outfits or props for your little one. I have everything we need provided at the studio. Unless you have special personal items you wish to incorporate, all you need to worry about bringing is baby.

WE'LL CAPTURE THE LOVE

Parent and sibling poses with the newborn are included during the session if desired (no extended family, please). If you prefer to do a baby only session, that is absolutely fine too!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

a lot in a little time

For most newborn sessions, there are about 3-4 baby-only setups + parent and sibling poses. For baby-only sessions (where no parent or sibling images are done), there are usually about 6-7 setups. This is all done in 2 hours or less.

after the session

Within 3 days you'll receive your proofing gallery of roughly 30-50 (partially edited) images. From this gallery, you'll choose the 20 images be edited for your download. You are absolutely welcome to purchase more at a rate of $5 per image.
