THERE IS A $50 RETAINER REQUIRED TO BOOK. THIS DOES GO TOWARD YOUR TOTAL. THE REMAINING AMOUNT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF THE SESSION. FOR PORTRAIT PLANS, A PAYMENT OF $200 IS DUE AT EACH SESSION.

WHEN TO BOOK

You can book your maternity session roughly 4-6 weeks in advance. Maternity sessions are usually done when you are between 28-35 weeks.

WE chase THE BEST LIGHT

For outdoor maternity sessions, we need to time the session for the best lighting. That means I do almost all maternity sessions about 1.5 hours before sunset. Studio sessions can be done at pretty much any time of day. Sessions are scheduled for Monday-Friday.

No need to stress about wardrobe, mama! I have a collection of maternity gowns in my client closet of various styles and colors. Most are extremely comfy and versatile to fit a variety of sizes.

it's a family affair

Children and spouses are welcome! I typically get photos that include the whole family, just parents, and then also some of just mama, so you'll have a variety.

We can do up to 3 outfits in one session, although most clients prefer 1-2 outfits for maternity.

locations

I have a variety of available locations in the DeKalb, Marshall, and Jackson county areas. There is a session questionnaire for you to fill out that will help us narrow down our options and allow me to provide you with a specific list of great locations to choose from.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

after the session

Within 3 days you'll receive your proofing gallery of roughly 30-50 (partially edited) images. From this gallery, you'll choose the 20 images be edited for your download. You are absolutely welcome to purchase more at a rate of $5 per image.

upgrade your session

Clients who upgrade from a maternity session to the First Year Highlights Plan, receive a complimentary session book of their maternity session. This book is not included with a "maternity only" session.
